20/10/09 QR codes hit Newburgh Street.
After taking Japan by storm, QR codes have finally hit
The Newburgh Quarter, as estate agents are starting to call our little street.
They look a bit like a barcode.
Take a picture of it with your mobile and it’ll take you to the appropriate website.
Some terribly trendy types are designing bespoke versions. (Said trendies are currently designing one for us based on The Macallan house logo).
The example above is a poster for The History Of Advertising Trust website.
It’s aimed at Media Studies, Design and Advertising students, so rather than filling the poster with information and making it feel like a lecture, we kept it simple and intriguing, to make those students who didn’t know about QR codes feel that they should.
Below is another History Of Advertising Trust poster promoting Free arrowsarchive.com to students.
